Job description

Position Summary:
This position will provide professional and knowledgeable assistance to all customers. The Business Banking Assistant will receive calls and respond to customer inquiries and concerns and will handle daily transactions and questions in accordance with Bank policies and procedures.
The Business Banking Assistant will maintain and oversee the client relationships developed by lenders through gathering of financial and other data, performing basic monetary transactions and ongoing customer service while maintaining loan and credit file documentation to ensure compliance with bank and regulatory requirements.
This position will be responsible for gathering loan documents and customer information before transferring all information to a centralized Loan Processing position. This position must be flexible in dealing with the needs of several team members and departments. The Business Banking Assistant will serve as an advocate of the Bank, promote the Bank's products, services and overall Citizens Alliance Bank's brand.
The level of this position is based on years of service, education and/or equivalent experience, knowledge level and skill set.
Essential Functions:

  1. Communicating effectively with lenders and their clients as well as with Credit Administration.
  2. Working effectively with title companies, attorneys, and insurance companies to request documents for customer files, loan closing and settlement statements.
  3. Serve as the primary contact and a conduit for loan officers clients' needs, including handling monetary transactions or contacting other departments to obtain information.
  4. Communicating with clients to obtain required financial information and other information needed to conduct business.
  5. Managing tickler items and work with loan officers and clients to ensure resolution of any financial or collateral exception items.
  6. Set up, manage, and provide ongoing maintenance to electronic customer files in accordance with Citizens Alliance Bank guidelines.
  7. Provide a secondary review of loan onboarding to review accuracy and quality control of system data.
  8. Coordinate with updating of ticklers and imaging of financial and other documents.
  9. Organize and maintain loan files and loan file room.
  10. Assisting lenders by scheduling and facilitating loan closings or other meetings with borrowers
  11. Working with other teams to ensure quality services to lenders and their clients.
  12. Open all types of new deposit accounts, resolve problems, and show customers how to access and manage their products and services to take full advantage of their Citizens Alliance Bank relationship.
  13. Uses effective selling techniques while promoting and selling additional products and services to create product interest and generate customer action. Actively pursues potential customers and recognizes quality potential customers through interviewing.
  14. Gather customer information necessary to begin loan process.
  15. Provide account information, answer phones and/or complete telephone transfers in compliance with Citizens Alliance Bank's policies and procedures.
  16. Verify account balances, give out account information to customers, print copies of items and/or statements from customer accounts.
  17. Resolve problems and show customers how to access and manage their account to take full advantage of their Citizens Alliance Bank relationship.
  18. Act as a liaison between all customers and the Bank for the purpose of developing a good relationship.
  19. Sells and promotes a variety of deposit products and services to new customers.
  20. Displays knowledge and proficiency in the bank's products and services and builds long-term customer relationships.
  21. Processes transaction through a teller platform which many include verifying incoming cash, accurately dispersing cash and accepting various deposits and payments.
  22. Assist with end of day processing for Branch location and check imaging work for accuracy prior to submitting to the Clara City branch.
  23. Maintain complete confidentiality with regard to sensitive customer and proprietary information.
  24. All employees are expected to exemplify and follow our core values.
  25. Regular attendance and punctuality when reporting to work.
  26. Travel for trade and industry schools and seminars as needed.
  27. This position may require installation of a Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) app on an employee's personal mobile device. THE MFA apps are used to authenticate a user's identity to the system for security purposes.
  28. Adhere to and comply with all applicable, federal, and state laws, regulations, and guidance, including those related to BSA/AML, as well as adhere to the Bank's policies and procedures.
  29. Perform other duties as assigned and requested.

Education and Experience:
Required - High School diploma or GED.
Required - Continuing Education to maintain job knowledge.
Preferred - One to three years of banking experience.
Preferred - One to Three years of Administrative experience and or customer service experience.
Preferred - Proficiency in Microsoft Suites.
