We are actively seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as a Business Architect. Primary Focus:
- Meet with and interview application experts to map business capabilities to applications (initial focus).
- Perform Business Architecture modeling, including capability hierarchy and capability maps, information maps, value streams, and application-to-business capability mapping, matrices, and dashboards using the Bizzdesign Enterprise Studio tool.
- Collaborate with Business Owners, Enterprise Architects, Solution Architects, Application Architects, Process Architects, and Data Architects to establish and validate capability mapping.
- Aggregate complex views, simplify them for a given audience and deliver essential insights required to address business challenges.
- Take an active role in enterprise portfolio investment strategies by assessing and rationalizing proposed enterprise capabilities.
- Identify business capability overlap in existing and new applications and categorize and classify capabilities and information without redundancies so this overlap can be readily identified.
- Perform administrative tasks for Bizzdesign, such as adding users to SailPoint for Single-Sign-On purposes and managing models within Bizzdesign, such as promoting project work to the enterprise catalog.
Relevant Skills/Experience/Capabilities:
- A holistic thinker with the ability to examine vast business ecosystems and deliver value across the strategy execution spectrum.
- Ability to abstract and synthesize information.
- Ability to collaborate across teams.
- Deep understanding of how to use and apply business capability maps.
- Experience using a Business Architecture tool, such as Bizzdesign, Sparx, Ardoq, etc.
- Familiarity with A Guide to the Business Architecture Body of Knowledge® (BIZBOK Guide)®.
- Experience utilizing and adapting the Business Architecture Guild reference models.
- Soft skills include the following: Creative/ innovative, persuasive, commands respect, thinking “big picture” and strategically, and having a strong grasp of technology.
- Knowledge of building and gaining support for capability-based roadmaps.
- Experience with ServiceNow and Application Portfolio Management (APM) is a plus.
- Experience with defining metrics for applications to include technical and business fit and with heat mapping capabilities based on the results of the technical and business fit of the applications that are mapped to them.
- Strong communication skills, oral and written, with both technical and business audiences.

Additional Responsibilities:
- Participate in OrangePeople monthly team meetings, and participate in team-building efforts.
- Contribute to OrangePeople technical discussions, peer reviews, etc.
- Contribute content and collaborate via the OP-Wiki/Knowledge Base.
- Provide status reports to OP Account Management as requested.
