Summary of Job Duties:
Responsible for analyzing the business needs of OYO Hotel and Casino Las Vegas, to help identify business problems and propose solutions and provide reports and data to support all departments.
Specific and Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Monitors and manages the standard data request workflow and fulfills routine data requests by providing standard system reports and report conversions, as requested
- Conducts data analytics projects, through the department project request workflow or as requested by management and builds data models, where applicable, in support of these projects
- Collaborates with the audit teams on assigned projects and assists in the evaluation, design and implementation of advanced data analytics to increase audit efficiencies and expand internal audit coverage. Develops and maintains productive client and staff relationships through individual contacts and group meetings
- Self-educates, performs research on the areas aligned with projects and learns new systems independently. Pursues professional development opportunities, including external and internal training and professional association memberships, and shares information gained
- Collaborates with other departments and shares data analytics concepts and capabilities
- Prepare cost estimates and feasibility reports
- Perform all other job-related duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Author reports using business intelligence (BI) software and adhering to established report design and query standards
- Conducts data extractions/cleansing, validation, normalizing and analysis on complex data using various BI tools and programming software
- Creates, troubleshoots, validates and maintains data models and communicate results and any potential issues
- Identify data needs and assist with building appropriate databases and data models to support projects
- Self-motivated and accountable for completing assigned work in an accurate and timely manner
- Works independently under general direction with appropriate latitude for initiative and independent judgment
- Maintain confidentiality of all Company information obtained in the normal course of project assignments
- Exhibits exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Education and/or Experience:
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- One (1) year of data analytics experience with BI tools, data warehousing environments, querying from databases and report writing
- One (1) year of auditing experience in public accounting, industry auditing or accounting.
Machinery or Work Equipment Used:
- PC, fax machine, printer, scanner, copier and paper shredder
