Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst with expertise in Taxonomy to join our team. As a Taxonomy Specialist, you will be at the forefront of organizing and classifying information to optimize data accessibility and efficiency. This role requires a solid background in information science, data management, and a keen understanding of financial terms. The ideal candidate is passionate about creating well-structured taxonomies that contribute to the overall enhancement of data organization.
Key Responsibilities:

1. Taxonomy Development and Maintenance:
   
   • Develop and maintain comprehensive taxonomies for organizing and categorizing information across various domains.
   • Collaborate with subject matter experts to understand and document content relationships and hierarchies.
2. Data Classification and Tagging:
   
   • Apply taxonomic principles to classify and tag data, ensuring accurate and consistent metadata application.
   • Implement and enforce data classification standards to enhance data discoverability and retrieval.
3. Quality Assurance:
   
   • Conduct quality assessments on taxonomies and implement best practices to ensure accuracy and reliability.
   • Document processes, guidelines, and address any issues encountered during taxonomy tasks.
4. Client Collaboration:
   
   • Collaborate with client teams to understand their requirements and ensure effective taxonomy representation of their domain knowledge.
   • Manage client relationships onshore and act as the primary client contact onsite.
   • Facilitate coordination between clients and our internal team.

Skills Required:

• Familiarity with Financial Statements and their interpretation.
• Solid knowledge of financial and business terms.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Experience in creating and maintaining Taxonomy in the Financial domain is advantageous.
• Expertise in MS Excel.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate in Finance/Commerce, MBA/Finance major preferred.
• BTech, preferably in computer science and data, can also be considered.
