A leading digital streaming network is seeking a Business Analyst. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching, examining, and documenting existing operational and technical processes/workflows. The ideal candidate has experience in the media & entertainment industry relating to one or more of the following areas – metadata management, digital video and audio, asset management systems/platforms, multimedia formats, and international localization. Business AnalystPay and Benefits:
- Hourly pay: $35-$40/hr (Pay varies based on candidate's location and experience)

Business AnalystResponsibilities:
- Research and identify critical knowledge bases and stakeholders.
- Organize and conduct meetings with key business stakeholders, engineering, and operational teams to research, define, and create documents that effectively capture the business needs and convey that understanding to technical staff.
- Collate existing process/workflow documentation and distill the relevant information into a consistent and readily accessible format.
- Investigate and surface existing process metrics and volumes to set benchmark expectations for future state workflows.
- Define, prioritize, and categorize workflow requirements by collaborating with project leaders to understand use cases, features, business, and technical goals.
- Stay focused on the overall project/product strategy.
- Own and maintain discovery and roadmap documentation.
Business AnalystQualifications:
- 2-4 years of working across departments to surface and organize project-specific information.
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred
- Experience of working with an Agile project management framework and associated tools.
- Experience coordinating/prioritizing conflicting requirements in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience operating effectively as part of a project team and in managing own project work.
- Experience working in a distributed global technology environment is a plus.
- Experience with post-production processes and workflows.
- Experience with XML, JSON, Web Services, video formats and protocols for VOD and live streaming.
- Agile experience and familiarity with JIRA.
- Experience in the media & entertainment industry relating to one or more of the following areas – metadata management, digital video and audio, asset management systems/platforms, multimedia formats, and international localization.
- Excellent teamwork, written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
- Good knowledge of media file standards, content supply chain workflows, video standards and cloud architecture.
- Ability to successfully work under tight deadlines.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and resolve urgent issues.
- Self-motivated, team player who is results-oriented.
- High command of verbal and written communication with strong reporting skills.
- Operate both independently and as part of a broader team; juggle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a results-oriented environment.
- Interpret usage data, develop reports and presentations based on that data.
- Good communicator; attentive listener; remains calm under pressure; the ability to explain a technical concept to a non-technical person.
- Understanding of media technology (broadcast, multi-platform), lifecycles, and workflows a plus.
- Knowledge of cloud technology including Amazon AWS.
- Engineering or development backgrounds are welcomed.
- Video Marketing Workflow is a huge plus.
- Excellent command of English.
