GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB
Position will be responsible for oversight of day-to-day activities within the Portfolio Project Management Office (PPMO). Business Analyst Manager is responsible for leading a team of PPMO BA professionals and championing of the PPMO. The BA Manager role will work closely with BAs, Architects, Delivery Manager, Delivery Team, Business stakeholders and product owners to drive business analysis process and practice improvements. In addition, the BA Manager will be responsible for performance reviews, development planning, coaching and training in the BA community. Position will work closely with business owners and key stakeholders to ensure projects meet organizational goals and requirements. This position will be responsible for working with project managers, Business Analysts and project coordinators to maintain adherence to approved methodologies and key performance indicators, monitoring project budgets and that project milestones are achieved.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Business Analyst Support:
- Lead the BA practices and BA professionals in the PPMO through modeling and mentorship
- Custodian of BA best practices and processes in alignment with the PPMO ‘way of working’ and embed these practices with BAs in the PPMO
- Provide on-going support for BA in project teams where necessary to improve BA activities and the quality of business analysis deliverables.
- Plan and closely monitor business analysis activities of all BAs in the PPMO
- Ensure both business and system requirements are well analyzed, modeled and documented
- Assist project teams in prioritizing, balancing and managing BA works to ensure sufficient requirements ready for delivery
- Identify project delivery issues and risks, assist with mitigation strategies, and escalate where necessary
- Work closely with stakeholders and change management to identify impacts to business processes as a result of system or application changes
- Evaluate effectiveness of solution delivery (SDLC) tools, processes and methodologies, and make recommendations for continuous improvement
- Liaise and collaborate with external suppliers as required.
- Coaching and training programs for the BA in the PPMO.
- Established an active BA community within the PPMO. Ensure successful implementation of the PPMO’s strategy, responsibilities, services, and deliverables
- Provide and maintain capacity planning and resource tracking for BAs as well as liaise with other BA managers and directors within Vaya Health
- All other tasks as assigned by PPMO Director
Supervision:
- Setting goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with the organizations plans and vision
- Organizing workflow and ensuring that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks
- Monitoring employee productivity and providing constructive feedback and coaching
Reporting:
- Develop and maintain portfolio and project reporting metrics that will be utilized for various audiences including staff, senior and executive management, Board of Directors, and external stakeholders
- Develop and maintain PPMO specific reports and metrics to help PPMO director manage PPMO resources
- Analyzing financial data, including project budgets, risks, and resource allocation.
KNOWLEDGE OF JOB:

- Adept at business analytics, project and change management
- High level of knowledge regarding Healthcare Administration on the Payor side
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Intermediate or Expert skills in Office 365 suite of products, especially Visio, SQL or other coding languages
- Intermediate or Expert skills with Smartsheet
QUALIFICATIONS & CREDENTIALING REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma or GED is required. Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related fields preferred. Must have five (5) years of experience in Business Analytics and one (1) year experience in a supervisory position.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
PMP, CSM, LSSBB or other project management certification preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparation and analysis of documents; viewing a computer terminal; and extensive reading.
- Physical activity in this position includes crouching, reaching, walking, talking, hearing and repetitive motion of hands, wrists and fingers.
- Sedentary work with lifting requirements up to 10 pounds, sitting for extended periods of time.
- Mental concentration is required in all aspects of work.
