Position Summary:
The Junior Business Analyst is responsible for running and distributing reports for the Decision
Support Department, including auth logs, member letters, health plan compliance reports,
productivity summaries, member utilization analyses and program impact studies. The Business
Analyst extracts records from the data warehouse using SQL code then analyzes and formats the
reports in Microsoft Excel. The Analyst works with excellent attention detail and consistently
produces error free. The Analyst is well-organized and logs their work into the tracking system.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Run SQL code to extract records, changing parameters as necessary
- Develops reporting in Excel using advanced features such as, pivot tables, formulas, and
graphs as needed. - Runs logs of unused authorizations on terminated providers
- Prints letters for members with auths to terminated providers
- Maintains a tracking sheet of provider term letters
- Responds to health plan audits on term letter compliance
- Monitor the Footprints tracking system for term letter tickets
- Completes tickets by deadlines and update the tracking system when jobs are completed
- Manages multiple projects by effectively prioritizing work and communicating workload
issues to management - Communicates effectively with all levels of the organization
- Produces accurate work under tight deadlines
- Works collaboratively with fellow team members
- All other duties as directed by management
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $18 - $20 per hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, licensure, skills, and experience.
The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
