Finance’s vision is to build and sustain leading finance capabilities to support PG&E’s vision. The Enterprise Planning organization leads the company’s work and financial planning process, orchestrating from internal planning processes through external regulatory proceeding development.
Position Summary
The Principal, Enterprise Planning role will enable consistent and interdependent planning across the enterprise through the development of an enterprise planning technology and process roadmap and the orchestration of company work and financial plans within our regulatory filings.
This role will report to the Sr. Director of Enterprise planning, working closely with the Business Plan Deployment, Enterprise Strategy, Regulatory Affairs, Finance and Investment Planning teams across the company. The Principal will use an understanding of financial, operational, and regulatory planning to design and implement a standard process and technology solution that guides enterprise investment decision making and drives consistent testimony and qualitative understanding across major regulatory filings, including the upcoming 2027 GRC.
The role is classified as hybrid (0-3 days per week in office), working primarily from your remote office and in-person in the Oakland General Office to attend team meetings or as business needs require.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.
A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum: $128,000.00
Bay Area Maximum: $218,000.00
Job Responsibilities
- Leads the process and technology optimization of the planning process for the enterprise
- GRC witness support for Planning and Operating Rhythm chapter
- Develop regulatory testimony key messages across major proceedings
- Partner with Ops and Asset teams to develop and ensure consistent planning parameters
- Provides guidance on insertion of PG&E’s True North Strategy into the company’s external narrative
- Aligns Financial and operational modeling with enterprise planning process
- Leads complex and major projects which may be cross functional.
- Works on unique and complex problems having broad impact that require in depth analysis and judgment to obtain results or solutions.
- Conducts highly complex root cause analysis and develops corrective actions to resolve deficiencies.
- Responds to data requests for areas such as incident investigations, compliance and regulatory audits, or customer inquiries.
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
- 8 years of job-related experience
Desired:
- Master’s Degree in job-related discipline or equivalent experience
- 10 years job-related experience
