Position Summary
The position will be a Business Analyst for the University of Nebraska Omaha. Primary job duty includes analyzing and visualizing data from disparate sources. Other job duties include mentoring SIDA team members, documenting business processes and end user needs, and contributing to the development or revision of applications, processes, documentation, and training. This is a team based / project role in the organization that requires someone that is semi-independent, possesses solid business analysis skills, has a passion for learning, believes in UNO’s mission, and can work well with our partners and stakeholders. Knowledge of reporting tools such as Tableau, SSRS, and PowerBI are preferred. Other duties include project management, business process auditing and documenting, and recommendation of solutions. The position is responsible for designing and implementing solutions that facilitate UNO’s mission to transform and improve the quality of life locally, nationally, and globally, and requires SQL coding experience (or a similar relational reporting language, such as R, Python, and SAS). One must have a willingness to learn and adapt to new languages and tools as technologies change and take the initiative to research and identify new opportunities to support UNO’s mission. As a Business Analyst, the position is expected to provide the University leadership with insightful analyses and be a mentor on our team.
