The role of Company Planning is to generate and promote strategic planning ideas to help drive margin, mitigate liabilities and manage inventory effectively. The Company Planning team acts as the hub of Planning and the liaison between Merchandise Planning and Finance. The Business Analyst will play a crucial role in analyzing data, identifying trends, and providing insights that drive informed decision-making across various departments within Ann Taylor and LOFT.
The impact you can have
- Support Company Planning by partnering with Information Systems and Business Intelligence to build complex reporting and business tools that increase efficiency and inform decisions.
- Develop, maintain, and publish all topline daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal reports in an accurate and timely manner including but not limited to the weekly topline business overview, monthly projections, and seasonal hindsighting.
- Create, analyze, and maintain ad hoc reporting documents.
- Support the planning organization with select report maintenance.
- Company planning templates.
- Promotional calendar, promo lists
- Partner with key team members within the organization to communicate key strategic changes:
You’ll bring to the role
- Minimum 1 year’s relevant work experience. Prior retail experience a plus
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent; advanced degree a plus
- Advanced in Microsoft applications including PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Explorer, Windows, SharePoint with experience building tools & templates.
- Must have highly advanced excel skills.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organizational and project management skills

- The target salary range for this role is: $62 - $65K

This position works in a hybrid model, with three days per week worked in the New York, NY location and two days per week worked remotely.
