Business Analyst (Child Welfare)

Five Points Technology is a Florida-based information technology company specializing in government, health, and human service software development. Five Points has an immediate opening for an IT Business Analyst responsible for business analysis and quality assurance to maintain and enhance customer applications. A commitment to collaborative problem solving, elegant design, and quality is essential.

Skills (years of experience):

Business Analysis

• Business analysis - 2+ years
• Gathering requirements - 2+ years
• Strong understanding of requirement and design documentation (requirement traceability matrix, functional design specification, business requirements) - 2+ years
• Experience creating documentation for information technology projects (use cases, user guides, etc.) - 2+ years
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle - 2+ years

Quality Assurance

• Strong experience writing test cases - 2+ years
• Strong experience executing test cases - 2+ years
• Experience logging defects - 2+ years
• Experience identifying and evaluating complex test scenarios - 2+ years

General (nice to have)

• Experience working in an agile environment
• Experience with automated testing tools such as Telerik Test Studio
• Experience with SQL Queries
• Experience with business process re-engineering
• Experience working on critical, high-volume systems
• Experience creating activity sequence and/or data modeling
• Basic application development functional knowledge

Job Responsibilities:

• Gathering and refining requirements.
• Assist in documentation processes which produce user manuals, training materials, requirements documentation, and functional specifications.
• Responsible for developing user stories, use cases, test cases, and test sets.
• Responsible for validating and troubleshooting customer reported defects.
• Responsible for triaging customer requests.
• Ability to distinguish and sequence competing priorities.
• Must demonstrate the ability to work independently or under only general direction with excellent attention to detail, communication, and documentation skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
