We are looking for a Business Analyst with at least 5+ years of IT experience and retail domain experience. This resource should have strong data analytics experience and SQL & Tableau experience.
An ideal candidate will have more of hybrid Business Data Analyst background with strong retail experience.

Location: Sephora recently returned to a hybrid office model, preference is for this BA to be in the office 3 days a week in FiDi (Salesforce East Tower, new renovated Sephora office as of 2 months ago), but will also consider a candidate that is 100% remote too. **Preference for west coast based (PST Hours)
This BA is responsible for providing key insights and learnings into L'Oreal brands business and client base at Sephora to drive revenue by supporting brands to maximize the growth of sales and profits. The associate will be known as a trusted, collaborative, and results-oriented business partner who leads through influence and excels cross-functionally and cross-organizationally. This person will coordinate execution by working closely with cross-functional partners in Brand Marketing, Merchandising, Sampling, Analytics, and Site Teams, in tandem with L'Oreal Brand partners. The manager is responsible for compiling information from multiple systems and facilitating communication to L'Oreal Luxe to ensure the brands are supported with the tools necessary to be successful. This role will not manage any direct reports.

They are comfortable with ambiguity and exploring new growth opportunities for the business. This candidate can successfully build collaborative partnerships across the organization, independently manage projects, and work together with other analytics team members and leadership.
Key Responsibilities include:
Business Analysis & Consumer Strategy:
Identify opportunities to increase sales, conversion, and profit performance by pulling, analyzing and leverage site, customer information and trends, and campaign data/metrics
• Understand and articulate customer and business opportunities through data; help to inform brands of strategic learnings through analytics, intuition, and prior retail experience.
• Partner with the site team to identify and share and build opportunities for L'Oréal Luxe brands
• Responsible in sharing Customer Profiler 4 x yearly including highlighting opportunities
• Work with sampling team on analysis of programs including ROI and go forward recommendations
• Assist in campaign wrap up reporting including by brand metrics by channel and segment to help uncover learnings and best practices to maximize campaigns KPI's
• Build and utilize cross-functional relationships across Brand Marketing, Merchandising, Sampling, Analytics, Production, and Site Partners - to leverage necessary resources and establish actionable recommendations on brand strategies
• Reduce static, clear roadblocks, and understand interdependencies to help define and move project priorities forward more quickly
Drive Digital Sales Performance:
Provide insights and strategies to determine next steps for best online experience laddering up to brand's priorities and financial plans
• Understand data and opportunities across all customer touch points and devices; establish best practices and identify best in class practices across competitors
• Partner with site merchandising when launching new functionality. Partner with brands to have first in class execution and optimization/new offers (customizable/bunding etc.)
Innovation and Improved Customer Experience
• Regularly monitor retail landscape to gain insight and develop strategies to improve client experience
• Seek out opportunities to grow the business by improving the customer shopping experience
Desired Experience:
· 3+ years of experience in an analytical, strategic role
· Technical skills: Strong SQL coding skills required (can join/merge data sets with complex relationships); Moderate/Advanced Tableau skills (or comparable data visualization tool) required; SAS coding experience a plus
· Strong analytical and financial skills with ability to perform complex analyses to generate data driven insights and recommendations as well as develop program/initiative business cases
· Ability to serve as an outstanding problem-solver with excellent business acumen
· Work independently, appropriately escalate or ask for help, and simultaneously manage multiple projects
· Comfortable managing ambiguity, navigating organizational complexities and being flexible to respond to changing needs and priorities
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence
· Experience with client analytics preferred; and experience in retail or strategy consulting role a plus
