What You’ll Do
The Business Analyst - Retail is a data-driven role responsible for modeling, analysis and translating data into meaningful insights to support and enhance decision making for the Retail channel and drive sales with our primary customer, Lowe’s.
Key Relationships: You will report directly to the Sales Operations Manager - Retail and work closely with the Retail Leadership team to ensure alignment and collaboration.
Location: Remote. Ideally working from one of the US East Metrie branches periodically.
Responsibilities
- Provide analytic support and strategic thinking to the Retail Leadership, Distribution Center (DC) Operations, Store Operations and IT teams.
- Uncover business opportunities through data analysis and provide insightful business cases for future changes, enhancements and growth to customer programs.
- Build and maintain key reporting tools including, but not limited to, KPI analysis and dashboarding
- Support business growth with testing, implementation, and measurement of analytic merchandising strategies
- Proactively learn, evaluate and improve existing systems and processes.
- Understand the Retail Strategy needs and translate those needs into actionable reporting and/or projects and deploy technology solutions to satisfy those needs.
- Quickly learn and adapt to new software, platforms, and business changes
- Partner with and contribute to cross-functional teams including Store Operations, Supply Chain, DC Operations, and IT.
- Involvement in cross-functional teams and project management.
Qualifications
- Degree in Business Administration, Finance or Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- Experience managing, manipulating, and interpreting large data models including variance scenarios, forecast modeling and forward-thinking trending and analysis
- Extensive analytical skills with experience examining large amounts of data, understanding components, and identifying and drawing meaningful performance trends and translate into effective, actionable insights
- Advanced SAP, Microsoft Excel and Access skills, experience in SQL, SAP, PowerBI and information management using Class A ERP systems preferred
- Ability to handle multiple projects and results within timelines and within budget.
- Problem solver, works with a sense of urgency and balances accuracy and attention to detail while keeping a focus on the bigger picture
- Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment.
- Passionate about growing knowledge and skills to understand a broad range of issues and takes the initiative to solve problems
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and good judgment
It would be an added bonus if you have:
- Experience serving Big-Box, Grocery or Mass Merchandising industry
- Knowledge of “retail math” and retail sales reporting including S/T, WOS, GM, IMU, mark-down analysis, UPT, ADT, IMU, MMU, Comp Sales, GMROI, etc.
- Experience with reporting tools (e.g. OneStream) and business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau)

In adherence to the principle of pay transparency, we are pleased to disclose the base pay for this full-time position at Metrie. The base pay range for this role is set at $85,000 - 100,000. It is important to note that this position may also qualify for discretionary bonuses or commission payments. The specific base pay within the range will be contingent upon an individual's skills, qualifications, experience, and geographical location. Furthermore, it is essential to highlight that our remuneration ranges are established based on the role, level, and location.
