Job Description
Looking for an information systems business analyst that is responsible for gathering and communicating business level requirements between users and development teams for internal and external users. The analyst will provide business decision support giving recommendations through detailed knowledge on system processes and prior business requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
- Communicate and build relationships with various business and technical teams at different organizational levels.
- Perform requirements gathering and analysis to create business requirements documents with detailed test cases using customer interviews, workshops, use cases, scenarios, etc.
- Create and maintain specification documents with business rules for data extracts.
- Evaluate business requirements uncovering areas for improvement and proposing solutions.
- Collaborate with other business analysts to see SDLC projects to completion and solve problems.
- Review analysis processes and make recommendations for improving the process and support.
- Provide support for triage and troubleshooting regarding business processes and data extracts.
Required Job Skills and Abilities:
- Experience in requirements gathering and different techniques for assessing the needs of users such as analyzing data and documents, surveying users, and producing workflows.
- Knowledge of the SDLC with a background that includes familiarity with business requirement documents, the development process, as well as QA and user testing.
- Ability to analyze and review data to find patterns and present information in a manner that is easy to read and understand.
- Project management experience with the ability to oversee a project through as an analyst from initiation to release support.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, General Information Technology, or a related field, AND
- At least five years of relevant experience in business analysis with software development projects.
- Experience leading the analysis of a large project through planning, requirements, development, testing, and production.
- Working knowledge of different types of requirements such as product, user stories, and technical.
Preferred:
- Experience with database queries in a product such as SQL, Postgres, or Oracle.
- Background in financial institution related technology such as banking or cash vaults.
