Position Objective:In support of the CDC Data, Analytics, and Visualization Task Force the candidate will provide support for the CDC's ongoing COVID-19 pandemic response. Will assist the task force in managing surveillance data sources, implementing data-driven responses, and integrating systems and analytic tools for the COVID-19 response.Duties and Responsibilities: Provides systems development support using standard approaches. Holds meetings to gather requirements. Produces process maps for current process. Produces process maps for future process. Drafts BRD. Circulates completed BRD to stakeholder distribution list and arrange meeting(s) to discuss, where necessary. Obtains sign off from project stakeholders. Updates Peer Project Analysis Review (PPAR) template. Updates Sign Off log. Rules of Business (ROB). Development of SOP's. Develops user stories and use cases. Works with UA to develop prototypes and storyboards. Demonstrated and documented knowledge in public health practice, epidemiology and surveillance. Knowledgeable and possesses direct experience with the evaluation of operational requirements relative to specific field of expertise required within the program guidance and review process. Collects data in accordance with plans as well as verifies and analyzes data to identify trends as well as potential problems. Creates reports of findings, designs schedules, conducts analyses, write reports and prepares presentations. Duties will include: Track all inquiries and tasks daily Respond to inquiries from the public Connect CDC, government employees, and the public to data (including restricted access data sets) Coordinate with DCIPHER and data stewards Update SOPs to reflect evolutions in how SRRG grants access to restricted data sets Provide low and mid-level assistance to external public health data queries Triage queries that require more extensive knowledge to subject matter experts/data stewards throughout the Task Force(s) Provide expertise in public health policy and communicationBasic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree, 8 years relevant experience. Relevant experience may be substituted for education: 4+ years' experience with a PhD; 6+ years' experience with an MA/MS degree; 10+ years' experience with related Associate's Degree, 12+ years' related experience with no degree. Proficient with Microsoft Suite and SharePoint* Due to the nature of this job, U.S.
