The Business / Data Analyst ensures an efficient software operation so that end users can accomplish business tasks. This includes receiving, prioritizing, documenting, and actively resolving escalated end user help requests. You will be responsible for working with the business to design, develop, implement, integrate, and support PowerSchool's applications. This person is also responsible for defining, documenting, and implementing best practices and standards.

The Business / Data Analyst analyzes client source data in preparation for an implementation and as part of data issue management during system validation. This individual serves an important role in the project to decrease project complexity and increase customer confidence in the Unified Insights products.
Participates in mapping client source data to Unified Insights data model. Analyzes client data for anomalies, resolves complex join requirements, models' new data topics. Acts as primary contact for clients during data validation, including test planning, execution, issue management, collaboration with development staff, and testing sign off. Creates diagrams, mapping documents, requirements documents, entity-relationship diagrams, and testing documentation as needed. Leads or participates in improving quality assurance process and automation. Supports Customer Success team in client management activities including project planning, communication, and design sessions. Actively seeks to suggest product improvements to decrease project data issues, find or resolve data issues more efficiently, and increase project profitability. Participates or leads mapping or analysis sessions with clients either as part of project execution or new product development. Understands data warehouse architecture and best practices. Other responsibilities as the business demands Whatever else asked for the good of the company goals and initiatives.

Qualifications include:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or MIS major, or 2+ years of equivalent work experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills Communicates a sincere desire to provide high-quality service. Communicates at a level appropriate to the individual user. Possesses a talent for troubleshooting complex situations. Experience interfacing with business users and gathering and understanding their requirements. SQL coding/querying skills in SQL Server and/or MySQL, Oracle, Postgres, JAVA Experience in an Agile environment and ability to work independently and be self-directed.

A reasonable estimate of the base compensation range for this position is $78,000-140,000. The compensation range is specific to the United States and incorporates many factors including but not limited to an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience and training; licensures, degrees, and certifications; internal equity; internal pay ranges; and market data/range parameters.
