Our Risk Advisors are skilled professionals eager to help our clients navigate their insurance needs. By selling new accounts and renewing existing ones, you'll meet firm and individual goals, establishing relationships and networks that enhance our business' success.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Leads an office of Advisors.
• Establishes office goals and manages monthly objectives.
• Conducts yearly performance reviews.
• Counsel, support, and performance manage underperforming Advisor.
• Manages time and attendance.
• Responsible for new business development across assigned offices.
• Establish sales objectives for Advisor, and coordinate sales and service efforts to achieve maximum results.
• Develop a scalable sales process and ensure Advisor adhere to the process.
• Assist Advisor in developing sales goals and objectives that support the overall economic needs and goals of the firm.
• Assist Advisor with prospect identification, client acquisition, and relationship manager skills.
• Conduct weekly one-on-one meetings with Advisor to review performance, progress and targets.
• Deliver semi-annual performance reviews with each Risk Consultant.
• Participate in joint sales calls with Advisor to provide real time coaching and lead development.
• Identify, recruit, and participate in the hiring of Advisor to support growth goals and objectives.
• Work with leadership to establish minimum performance criteria for Advisor.
• Plan, coordinate, and implement training programs. Hold regular skills training sessions with internal or external sales trainers.
• Plan and conduct weekly team sales team meetings.
• Act as an advocate of the organization, promoting its services and capabilities to continue to build a premier reputation.
• Be active in and maintain a high profile in community involvement.
• Help create an environment where open communication is encouraged, and morale is high.
• Ensure efficiency in workflows and operational execution through effective use of technology focused sales tools. E.g., CRM, Carrier quoting sites, etc.
• Hold monthly team building events to build and maintain cohesive team work.
• Perform other projects as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
• Obtain and maintain a 2-20 or 20-44 state insurance license, as required by the State Department of Insurance to provide risk management consulting or risk transfer solutions as necessary in states where the firm functions (or be willing and able to obtain all required licenses within the first 90 days of employment).
• Must be a self-starter who works independently with the ability to influence others through effective verbal and written presentation skills.
• Must have the ability to learn relevant insurance company and firm software systems.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum of 5-7 years in the insurance industry in an advisor position required

• Prior leadership and/or ownership in a firm with proven success preferred
• Performs other functions as assigned by leadership.

- Fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
- Travel as required.
