We are currently seeking a dependable and compassionate Bus Driver to join our team.
Position Overview:
As a Bus Driver at Raven's Medical Adult Day Care Center, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and comfortable transportation of our adult clients to and from our facility. You will be an integral part of our team, providing a reliable and friendly presence while ensuring the well-being of our clients during their commute.
Responsibilities:
1. Transportation Services: Safely operate a passenger bus to pick up and drop off adult clients at designated locations, following established routes and schedules.
2. Safety and Compliance: Ensure the safety and security of all passengers during transit, adhering to all traffic laws and company safety policies. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
3. Client Interaction: Provide excellent customer service and interact with clients in a friendly and respectful manner. Assist clients with boarding and disembarking the bus as needed.
4. Route Planning: Efficiently plan routes and schedules to optimize transportation services and minimize delays.
5. Vehicle Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness and good working condition of the bus. Report any maintenance or repair needs promptly.
6. Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to emergencies, including accidents, breakdowns, or medical situations, by following established procedures.
7. Record Keeping: Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance activities.
8. Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with the transportation coordinator and other staff members.
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent or related 3-5 year or more years of operating commercial or passenger bus.
2. A valid Driver's License - (Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is a plus).
3. Experience in passenger transportation and working with adults, especially in a healthcare or senior care setting, is preferred.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Compassion and empathy for the needs of adult clients.
6. Ability to follow directions and adhere to safety and company policies.
7. First Aid and CPR certification is a plus.
8. Familiarity with the Baltimore, Maryland area is beneficial.
