SalaryThe Brown Township Board of Trustees is seeking individuals interested in a Buildings and Grounds Laborer position. Under the direct supervision of the Road Superintendent, this position will perform repairs, cleans, and maintains township physical facilities including but not limited to the Township Hall, athletic fields, and playgrounds. This position will maintain township grounds including but not limited to parks, and cemeteries, including mowing grass and weed eating during the summer and snow removal around facilities during the winter. This position will assist with road maintenance including snow removal in adverse conditions. These duties will be performed under adverse weather and road conditions in order to ensure the safety of the public. Individual must be available to be called out for work outside of normal working hours. Individual will operate a variety of manual and power tools and equipment appropriate to job related tasks. Performs any additional duties as directed by Township Trustees.
This position is approximately 30-40% FTE. The quarterly amount of hours worked is 150-175 hours.
Qualifications
Thorough knowledge of the operation and maintenance of job-related vehicles, machinery, tools, and equipment. Thorough knowledge of the occupational hazards and appropriate safety practices, necessary for the safe performance of assigned duties. Ability to perform manual labor for extended periods of time possibly in adverse weather conditions. Possession of a valid Ohio driver’s license with a CDL Class B endorsement is required.
This position is a part-time, compensated position with some benefits. Preference will be given to township residents. You must be 18 years of age. Please include the names of 2 professional references in your resume.

Pay: $19.00 - $23.50 per hour

Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Landscape Maintenance: 1 year (Preferred)
- Commercial driving: 1 year (Preferred)
- road maintenance: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Required)
- CDL B (Required)
Ability to Relocate:
- Delaware, OH 43015: Relocate before starting work (Required)
