Building Information Modeling (BIM) Intern - VDC East Department (Remote Work)

Job Summary:

Sanveo is seeking a motivated and technically proficient intern to join our VDC East department. This fully remote position will support our Engineering team on various projects, offering a unique opportunity to gain expertise in Building Information Modeling (BIM) in a dynamic and technologically advanced environment. Preference will be given to candidates with exposure to Revit and Navisworks, as these skills will be beneficial in the role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage in a range of construction projects, including commercial, educational, industrial, and healthcare sectors.
• Manage, coordinate, and ensure quality of project deliveries and tasks in collaboration with the offshore production team.
• Develop proficiency in BIM-related software.
• Acquire and apply construction trade knowledge, focusing on MEPF (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection) and coordination.
• Actively participate in pre-construction phases with clients to develop 3D models, 2D Shop Drawings, As-Built, and Submittal drawings.
• Advocate for the advancement of BIM technology and processes.
• Establish and maintain effective network connections with project stakeholders and clients.
  

Marginal Duties:

• Be prepared to serve as an Onsite BIM Engineer with Client's project teams as needed.
• Assist in document control support.
  

Education and/or Experience:

• Pursuing or completed a BS, MS, or foreign equivalent in Construction Engineering and Management/Technology from a reputable university.
  
• Experience with Revit and Nasivworks

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• While the position is remote, occasional travel to local customer sites within 50 miles of your home base is required. Additionally, average quarterly travel within the US may be necessary for conferences and visits to regional/national customer sites.
• The work environment is friendly, and the noise level is typically moderate.
