As a Build and Release Engineer, you will play a critical role in optimizing our software development, testing and production workflow, while increasing efficiency for our engineering teams. This role will bring a passion for automating processes and building infrastructure that deploys software systems in a compliant and efficient manner.
As part of our team, your core responsibilities will be to:
- Design and implement automation solutions for development, testing and production
- Architect and build continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
- Develop and maintain scripts to automate and optimize Build and deployment pipelines
- Build standard monitoring, logging and debugging tools to facilitate faster iterations
- Maintain the operating environments for development and deployments
- Handle release process and Release documentation
- Track and communicate release milestones and related dependencies
- Manage and resolve Build and Release issues in a timely manner
- Manage version control systems and repositories
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously innovate and improve automation of work-flows, infrastructure, testing and deployment
Baseline Skills, Experiences, & Attributes:
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in an engineering discipline
- 5+ years of experience building and maintaining build, test and Release processes for engineering teams
- Familiarity with software development and coding, as well as proficiency in scripting languages (Python preferred)
- Proven experience deploying, operating and optimizing CI/CD pipelines (Github Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI, etc.)
- Proficiency with build tools, continuous integration systems (e.g., Github Actions), version control systems (e.g. Git), and Release management tools
- Possess at least 2 out of the 3 below:
- Prior experience with NVIDIA Jetson products (e.g. TX2, Nano) and Yocto
- Basic xcode (iOS) command line test knowledge
- Knowledge of AWS solutions and implementation
- Understanding of quality assurance and testing processes
- Passion for automation and continuous improvement
- Must be local and able to work onsite at our Redwood City, CA office location for on-device testing and integration. Hybrid working arrangement available.
