Under the supervision of the Dispensary Manager & Assistant Managers, the Retail Associate is responsible for carrying out our policies and procedures regarding security while also providing excellent customer service and building a stellar reputation for The Boston Garden (“TBG”) .

The Retail Associate will perform the following duties, among others:

● Greeting customers with a smile.
● Gain a high level of general cannabis knowledge.
● Maintain a deep understanding of specific knowledge about the brands and products we carry.
● Educate customers when appropriate about different products and their uses.
● Have the ability to multitask and be proficient with time management.
● Understanding of how to upsell and cross sell products.
● Maintain a professional appearance.
● Have excellent cash handling and math skills.
● Have a friendly, outgoing personality, always looking to connect with people.
● Be extremely dependable, reliable, and punctual.
● When working at reception, oversee the entrance to the facility and verify the credentials of each person seeking access to the TBG facility.
● Monitor our state of the art security video surveillance system.
● Ensure that only authorized individuals are permitted access to the TBG facility by verifying appropriate ID cards and other forms of identification at reception.
● Ensure all visitors adhere to the correct sign in procedures and protocols.
● Answer routine inquiries in person and on the phone and take messages as needed.
● Escort authorized visitors in restricted access areas.
● Flexibility with scheduling.
● Ability to stand for long periods.
● Available to perform many different shifts and job functions throughout the day.
● Ability to comply with all regulations and standards of the business.
● Ability to follow complex instructions and take direction from management.
● Willingness to conform to changing strategies and procedures as seen fit by Dispensary

Manager.
● Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications:

● Must successfully complete a comprehensive background record check.
● Must be at least 21 years of age.
● 1+ years’ experience in retail.
● Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
● Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
● Ability to respectfully and politely interact with customers and team members.
● Proficient in the use of personal computers and tablets to perform daily work.
● Flexibility with scheduling.

Physical Requirements:

● Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 lbs. to a minimum height of
5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of
50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance.

● Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods of time, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stopping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks.

● Must have visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as; reading, viewing a computer terminal, visual inspection involving small parts/details. Clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day and night/dark conditions.

● Must be able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels with co-workers, vendors, etc. (Moderate noise).
