Job Summary

• Budtender Leads are the most experienced Budtenders who the others turn to when questions or complications arise. Leads will teach and oversee the Budtenders who have the most forward-facing customer service position at Ember Gardens and will serve as the cannabis guide for customers and handle all interactions and transactions in the retail area.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide each customer with best-in-class customer service
• Educate customers on all varieties of cannabis and cannabis-infused products in the store
• Accurately processes and dispenses cannabis to customers/patients
• Stock/restock product
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude
• Positively contribute to the culture and ideals of the company
• Keep a clean, organized, and compliant product storage area and register
• Proficiently use computers, tablets, or other technology to complete sales transactions accurately, quickly, and compliantly
• Complete continuing education of cannabis & other trainings as required by management and State regulations
• Assist customers in identifying the cannabis and methods that best fit their individual needs 
• Comply with all state regulations and company standard practices and procedures
• Gather and process required customer information, and perform detailed transaction verification
• Maintain the professional appearance of the dispensary via opening and closing duties such as stocking, counting cash drawers, organizing products compliantly, restocking merchandise on the sales floor, and participating in basic store clean-up and other retail tasks.
• Exhibit patience and listening skills while maintaining high ethical standards and professionalism
• Demonstrate strong verbal communication skills, active listening and attention to detail
• Stay knowledgeable of all products for sale in the dispensary
• Maintain awareness of current marketing and pricing
• Other duties and special projects as assigned

Qualifications

• Ability to work nights and weekends
• Knowledge of cannabis is NOT required - we love to teach as long as you love to learn
• Dispensary-related experience is NOT required
• Must be friendly, outgoing, trustworthy, dependable, and hard-working
• Candidates must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be a detail-oriented, clear communicator that can receive and deliver verbal and written communication. Should have the ability to solve and resolve problems in a calm, professional, and courteous manner.
• Excellent work ethic, time management, reliability, organization, tidiness, and professionalism
• Enthusiasm to learn about products and various cannabis applications
• Understand and comply with all compliance and regulatory requirements
• May be required to use a phone and may be required to lift up to 40 pounds
• Reliable transportation and ability to commute to Orleans

Additional Requirements

• Minimum of 21 years of age.
• Possess valid driver’s license or state ID.
• Must pass all required background checks.
• Ability to work nights, holidays, and weekends.
• Must be and remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
