We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Budget Analyst to join the Central Services Team!
The position will be responsible for the Department of Justice budgetary lifecycle, from planning and development, to monitoring and compliance.
The position must be able to conduct independent financial analysis and research and can provide technical assistance and review on program, statistical and financial matters.
One must possess the ability to ensure contract compliance with state and federal conditions, guidelines, and individual grant requirements.
Must have the ability to prioritize and successfully manage multiple projects at one time.
The position is responsible for analyzing, evaluating, and forecasting expenditure and revenue data to identify complex issues. The ability to relay complex information to diverse audiences will be critical.
The ability to create, interpret and manipulate multifaceted financial information will be necessary on a routine basis.
Extensive personal contact with agency personnel, fiscal managers in other departments, legislators, auditors, attorneys, and federal agency contacts is expected.
There may be times where this position will experience high levels of stress during peak workload periods such as increased demands created during legislative sessions and fiscal year end; may be subject to long and irregular hours, especially during legislative sessions or while working on special projects.
Work is primarily accomplished in a normal office environment.

Minimum Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, General Business or Public Administration, Economics, Mathematics, or closely related field of study.
- 3 to 4 years of job-related work experience.
- Alternative combinations of education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
