POSITION SUMMARY:
The bank secrecy act (BSA) analyst, is responsible for assisting the BSA officer and assistant BSA officer with the administration and dissemination of the bank secrecy act/anti-money laundering/OFAC/customer information program (BSA/AML/OFAC/CIP) and related information and training.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review system generated daily, monthly and quarterly transaction reports for suspicious transactions and reportable cash activity.
- Review and investigate on a daily basis suspicious activity alerts generated by FCRM.
- Contact bank management to discuss and determine validity of suspicious transactions.
- Prepare currency transaction reports (CTR) for all cash transactions greater than $10,000.
- Investigate false positive OFAC matches.
- Monitor the comparison of customers to the OFAC list by the branches and other departments.
- Research individuals and entities that appear on bi-weekly requests received from FINCEN (314(a)).
- Monitor system generated beneficial ownership and customer information profile (CIP) reports to ensure that all required information has been obtained for all new customers.
- Assist in the ongoing and formalized BSA/AML/OFAC/CIP compliance training program for all bank personnel.
- Assist with the dissemination of BSA related materials and information.
- Assist with the BSA/CIP/OFAC/AML risk assessments.
- Provide assistance and guidance to bank employees as needed regarding the interpretation and implementation of BSA/AML/OFAC/CIP.
- The bank secrecy act analyst will be expected to perform all other duties as assigned (job duties may be added from time to time by the employer in its sole and absolute discretion).
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Two to five years of experience in the banking industry.
- Knowledge of bank secrecy act regulations and guidelines related to assigned responsibilities.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills.
- Good verbal and written communications skills.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: We offer a hybrid schedule, with 3 days inoffice and 2 days remote after the initial 90-day period.
