Key Job Elements
- Develop and manage analytic oversite of the US Brokerage business from a leadership level.
- Work with internal and external operations, procurement, and sales personnel to acquire, process, market and sell all grades of ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals, and other items as directed.
- Work closely with leadership on strategy, tactics, and market development.
- Lead a highly productive and dynamic trading team.
- Develop administrative and operational functions, to include position reporting, sales order entry, order fulfillment, claims and payments.
- Evaluate and analyze the markets to develop and support budgeting and forecasting requirements.
- Develop pricing methodologies to increase volume and maximize margins.
- Research, find and secure new markets and consumers to support growth of the business.
- Sets and develops strategic growth initiatives.
- Establish a good working relationship with existing and potential consumers/customers.
- Provide market reports and updates to financial, commercial and leadership teams.
- Provide consultation and work with IT personnel and administrative personnel on developing effective systems and reporting.
- Drive improvements in conjunction with various internal business units.
- Work with operations personnel and third-party vendors to increase utilization and efficiency of deliveries and maximize margins.
- Manage credit risk, market risk and compliance.
- Implement business control policies including those related to managing inventory, credit, and consumer claims.
- Be responsible for monthly financial forecasting.
- Actively participate in monthly earnings/profit reviews and decisions regarding monthly financial budget achievement.
- Lead sales conferences/meetings related to the strategy and growth of US Brokerage.

- Support strategic marketing initiatives and collect and summarize intelligence on an as needed basis.

Education / Training
- Bachelor's Degree, Business and/or Marketing, preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of sales and/or procurement
- Minimum of 5 years of management experience
Qualifications and Experience
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to listen and communicate with all, including customers, third-party service providers, and internal team members.
- Deep understanding of domestic procurement and sales strategies.
- Experience in ferrous and or non-ferrous recycled metals preferred.
- Deep understanding of commodity markets.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, including MS Word, PowerPoint, and particularly with Excel – ERP or BI Systems experience preferred.
- Ability to work across multiple levels of an organization.
- Strong management skills (planning, budgeting, and managing).
- Strong analytical capability & creative problem solving where problems are broad & complex.
- Ability to perform in a high-paced, dynamic team environment.
- Strong negotiation and critical thinking skills.
- Financial and strategic planning skills.
Essential and Physical Activities Functions
- Strength – May be required to lift up to 50 pounds to assist in shipping event-related materials;

- Work Environment – Position will typically be located in an office environment;
- Emotional Demands – Required to liaise with multiple levels within the organization, including senior leaders, managers, and production workforce; must be well-spoken, able to manage multiple priorities and individual requests daily, with professional and supportive attitude;
- Safety – Position is primarily limited to general office safety requirements. Safety requirements may change based on field work (i.e., if visiting a facility or railroad) and would require the use of all relevant PPE and follow safety protocols.
