Scope:
This temporary, on-site position is responsible for service as an intern in the Tax Department by performing research and analysis, general administrative tasks, daily clerical functions and coordinating/monitoring activities on specific projects.
Reporting Relationships:
Reports to the Tax Director and works closely with other members of the administrative team.
COMPENSATION
• Starting Salary:
• FLSA Status: Exempt, Not Eligible for Overtime
• Eligible for Participation - Annual Discretionary Bonus
Key Responsibilities

• Provides support in a variety of capacities, including tax research, analysis, and file maintenance.
• Assist with tax planning.
• Review tax returns, including personal income tax returns, business tax returns, gift tax returns, etc.
• Tack down and research information about investment or business operations.
• Assist with tax audits by collecting documentation and formulating responses.
• Meet deadlines for completion of tax projects as assigned.
• Support other departments by assisting with administrative tasks as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of all corporate and personnel matters.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Personal Characteristics, Experience and Education

• Current accounting or law student or recent graduate from an accounting program or law school
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and related software programs.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Exceptional organizational skills required.
• Demonstrated ability to meet designated deadlines.
• Ability to work independently with minimal instruction.
• Ability to interface well with all departments within the company.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with staff, clients and visitors.
• Demonstrated ability to remain calm, focused, and positive while performing job duties.
