Job Description

The Breastfeeding Peer Counselor is a paraprofessional support person whose main goal is to provide breastfeeding information, support, and encouragement to WIC pregnant and breastfeeding mothers.

Requirements

Candidates must have:
• HS Diploma or GED
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Breastfed at least one baby
• Be available to WIC clients outside usual local agency hours and outside the WIC LA environment

• Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred
