Breakfast Attendant

Purpose for the Position:
To greet guests, in a friendly, efficient, courteous and professional manner. Prepare and serve food maintaining the cleanliness of hotel dining areas.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Prepares and serves hot breakfast for guests following company policies and procedures.
• Assembles the breakfast buffet before mealtime and disassembling it thereafter.
• Ensures that the breakfast buffet remains well-stocked at all times.
• Possesses adequate knowledge of the food offering.
• Maintains the breakfast/lobby area in a clean and organized manner.
• Provides customers with condiments upon request.
• Offers assistance and superior service to guests throughout their stay.
• Observes diners to fulfill any additional request and to perceive when meal has been complete.
• Clears cutlery and crockery from customers' tables.
• Maintains the work area, including all counter tops, utensils, equipment, and refrigeration in a clean and sanitary condition in accordance with state, county and company health regulations and work safety regulations.
• Sweeps, vacuums, and mops the floors after each meal service.
• Cleans and sanitizes tables and countertops after each meal service.
• Maintains high standard of personal hygiene in compliance with state, county, and company regulations.
• Assists in maintaining equipment used.
• Empties trash receptacles as needed and disposes of properly.
• Conducts accurate inventory of food items and calculate order levels.
• Stocks area of needed supplies and assists with storing products delivered to hotel
• Reports to work for scheduled shift, on time and in uniform in accordance with company policy.
• Provides world-class guest service.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.

Hours:

• 6am to 11 am daily. Currently looking for Monday-Friday person.

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Restaurant or customer service experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements of the Position:

• Light Work: Exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally (Occasionally: activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time), and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently (Frequently: activity or condition exists up to 1/3 to 2/3 of the time), and/or a negligible amount of force constantly (Constantly: activity or condition exists up to 2/3 or most of the time) to move objects.

Requires walking or standing to a significant degree.

• May be required to lift in excess of 15 pounds on occasion.

Environmental Conditions:

• Inside: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. A job is considered “inside” if the worker spends approximately 75 percent or more of the time inside.
