As a Field Operations Supervisor, you will bring your proven supervisory experience - retail, field marketing, logistics, operations, etc. - to oversee a remote team of field merchandising specialists. You will ensure that your team's assignments are completed correctly and on time and monitor workload as well as performance. You are a communicator, resolution seeker, and natural collaborator who can both motivate and mentor your team. Your ability to prioritize and multi-task while accommodating increased workloads during our busier cycles will be paramount to your success. This is a fast-paced, consistently changing environment where your efforts do not go unnoticed and opportunities for career advancement are available. Our ideal candidate loves the challenge of working through a problem, thrives in a collaborative team environment, has a strong drive to succeed, is detail-oriented with strong follow-through skills, and is proficient in Excel and reporting. 

 

This is full-time, remote role that requires flexibility to build your schedule around the needs of your in-field team. Candidates located in Northern California, Washington, New Jersey, Boston, and NYC (or those with extensive knowledge of these areas) are highly encouraged to apply!

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Manage an effective training program; provide leadership, guidance, and coaching for associates that enable the meeting of client and company objectives and internal KPIs.
  • Drive an effective system of accountability that acknowledges those that do things correctly and that immediately acts toward improvement and resolutions for those that fall short of expectations.
  • Lead approximately 30-50 field representatives in delivering quality on-time and cost-effective client objectives.
  • Manage all aspects of your team's budget and expense-related costs including but not limited to the submission of hiring REQs, managing employee retention/turnover, expenses, quality (re-work), personal vacation, training requirements, payroll, and project management.
  • Ensure on-time quality completion of all work.
  • Forward recommendations to your direct manager for ways to improve processes, client ROI, or gross margin.
  • Properly assign associates to work based on the type of work, level of associate, and job classification in a timely manner.
  • Ensure associates are paid appropriately for the level of work conducted and per the offer letter agreement.
  • Conduct in-store visitation and ride-along, as needed.
  • Communicate and consult with your manager and direct reports regularly; conduct team conference calls as necessary.
  • Display a professional demeanor while representing the client and BDS Connected Solutions.
  • Other tasks as requested by management.

 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Experience and Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, college degree a plus!
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience

Skills and Attributes:

  • Great attention to detail.
  • Organization and multitasking skills - ability to prioritize, multi-task, and manage your team's workload efficiently, especially during busier periods. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work collaboratively with a team while remaining responsive.
  • Able to independently adapt to changes and respond supportively in working with various circumstances and people.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues and create solutions.
  • Exhibit accountability and strong follow-through skills with a consistent drive to achieve.
  • Able to successfully work through varied issues with integrity, honesty, and in a candid, straightforward manner.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule that fits the needs of the team.
  • Proficient in MS Office Applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and mobile app environments.
  • Professional and positive demeanor.
  • Ability to manage a team remotely.
  • Valid driver's license and provide proof of motor vehicle insurance with the ability to drive on behalf of the Company, in compliance with Company guidelines and requirements; and have the ability to travel within a designated market.

  • Occasionally travel via personal vehicle or other forms of transportation
