Job Purpose Statement

Note: This is an office-based position located in Johnson City, TN.

The Brand Manager, Body Brands role is a key business partner in the Therapeutics marketing organization and reports directly to the Director of Marketing, Therapeutics. Responsibilities include managing the following brands: Sarna, Keri, Desenex, and Zeabsorb, within the Therapeutic Skincare portfolio. The role must work fluidly and effectively with peers in marketing, sales, data analytics, supply chain, finance, etc. to ensure effective brand management. She/He will also have contact with external agencies and vendors to ensure programs are deployed on time and within budget. Brand Management Responsibilities: Serve as primary point of contact managing all aspects of assigned brands including:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement marketing strategies and tactics for designated products and align with overall commercial strategy
  • Oversee the development of unique selling propositions, including market research and claims testing
  • Manage and develop marketing and sales aid/promotion materials for field sales to effectively promote and sell the product
  • Manage new item listing on Amazon.com and other online marketplaces
  • Develop and execute national retail plans and tactics to effectively communicate, promote and sell the product positioning to consumers
  • Actively engage with Digital Marketing team to develop social media ads and content. Review and approve materials in advance for on-time execution.
  • Manage promotional materials to establish product messaging
  • Manage demand plans, monitor trends, and analyze sales data to drive product positioning and competitive selling strategies
  • Manage all formulation changes (as needed) for products
  • Manage the launch of new products in market
  • Present product marketing programs to senior leadership, customers and agency partners
  • Determine and manage the allocation of product budget to maximize ROI

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve objectives. These groups include external customer, consumers and health care professionals, field sales, R & D, regulatory affairs, manufacturing, logistics, public affairs, marketing and executive management and external vendors or agencies

Job Related Qualifications / Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree (BA) from a four-year college or university or equivalent in marketing or related field.
  • MBA is preferred.
  • 2-4 or years of CPG marketing experience including the development and launch of new products within consumer-packaged goods. Skincare experience is preferred but not required.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills; Minimum 1 years experience with syndicated data required.
  • Experience and knowledge of how to merchandise products to drive revenue, including experience driving pricing strategies, product positioning, consumer promotions, and executing tactics according to plan are required.
  • Must have strong project management skills and be confident being the key driver within a large cross-functional team.
  • Must be able to make insightful observations that drive profitability. Must be able to tie marketing objectives to overall performance metrics and/or ROI.
  • Must demonstrate strong entrepreneurial aptitude and ability to own decisions, drive the internal process, and bring a solution-focused approach. A strong sense of urgency and the ability to manage and prioritize competing projects is required.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills to effectively communicate with senior management, retailers (trade contacts), health care professionals, marketing business partners, sales teams, and other internal departments.
  • Ability to effectively make written or oral presentations and respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

Competent using MS Office including Microsoft Project

  • Must be comfortable presenting in front of large audiences and senior executives.
  • Ability to take complex data and convert the information into actionable insights through data storytelling.
  • Ability to develop, maintain and manage expense budget.
  • Must be able to multi-task under pressure.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.

Travel: Attendance at company-sponsored meetings is required. Some meetings or meeting-related travel may occur during evening or weekend hours. Travel is estimated at 25%.
