Job Description
Purpose of Position:
Responsible for supporting and tracking key marketing and innovation initiatives that drive growth for the portfolio while delivering attractive financials. This individual will be the tactical team that deploys insightful, innovative customer and consumer marketing programs across the fruit and vegetable categories with a strong focus on brand marketing. These activations will focus on a variety of channels such as the produce aisle in grocery, food service, and convenience stores.
Accountabilities:
- Brand Management / Activations – Execute our “branding” within the added value produce category.
- Develop and execute Point of Sale materials reflecting our brands via communication and packaging; labels; story telling; merchandising.
- Track performance across the portfolio of programs to help identify the most effective business drivers and maximize ROI &/or ROAS. There’s also an opportunity to support activation in regard to our trade shows via trade media channels.
- Contribute to the achievement of annual business plans.
- Consumer Understanding, Concept Development and Targeting – Support specific Research and Insights’ initiatives in collaboration with the Senior Brand Manager to uncover actionable and important consumer and customer insights that can be leveraged and translated for ideation and for storytelling to the consumers and customers.
- Customer Marketing – Execute and track not only an exciting consumer proposition, but also understand how to help our sales teams to position each opportunity to their customers. The goal is to, de-commoditize the product category by leveraging compelling insights and selling points to command higher margin for our products. Work cross-functionally to develop compelling customer stories (retail) / value propositions behind new innovations and existing products.
Minimum Skills Required:
- College Degree (Marketing), from an accredited institution, and/or equivalent work experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook, etc.).
- Prefer individuals with Produce; Fresh Products (e.g. dairy, poultry); and or nutrition; QSR / Foodservice experience.
- Complete Marketing Toolkit – Understanding across the traditional marketing mix.
- Sales Capabilities / Customer Marketing – Experience collaborating closely with Sales to support new item introductions and contribute to business meetings with retail customers.
