Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the branch, acting as a working manager, guiding and training the team
- Develop and maintain ongoing carrier relationships and build long term partnerships
- Manage the logistical operations ensuring on-time delivery of customer product in a profitable manner
- Lead business development initiatives to drive growth and increase revenue
- Supervise branch staff, providing guidance and support as needed
- Resolve customer, carrier, and branch-level escalations
- Implement and manage process improvement initiatives to streamline operations
- Coordinate and oversee project management activities within the branch
- Allocate volume to the team and request additional resources as needed
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills to motivate and inspire team members
Experience:
- Proven experience in a managerial role, with a focus on financial management and operational oversight in a logistics role
- Strong background in profit loss management and business development
- Demonstrated ability in supervising teams and fostering a collaborative work environment
- Experience in process improvement methodologies to enhance operational efficiency
- Proven track record in driving success and achieving revenue targets
- Exceptional leadership qualities with the ability to lead by example and mentor staff members
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
