Branch assistants provide excellent customer service and operational support in our library branches. A typical day involves assisting our customers with registering for library cards, answering general questions, checking library materials in and out and providing computer and technical assistance.

This position is 28 hours per week and will be a mix of daytime, evening and Saturday hours.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent; AND one (1) year of customer service OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting pay is $13.24 per hour and up based on related and comparable work experience

Physical Demands
- Mobility to work in an office setting, use standard office equipment and stamina to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time; strength to lift and carry up to 20 pounds and push carts that may weigh up to 100 pounds; agility to bend, reach and climb; vision to read printed materials and computer screens; and hearing and speech to communicate in person or over the telephone.
