In this position, you will be responsible to deliver industry leading Brake System Sizing analysis for assigned programs. In your role as a sizing engineer, you will gather vehicle and Brake component data as an input for the Brake Engineering Analytical Simulation Tool (BEAST). Results are then summarized at appropriate program milestones to document margin to Ford requirements, with an emphasis on the continued delivery of best-in-class cost & weight performance.
You will also be responsible to deliver industry leading in-house Rotor/Drum Designs. In your role as a Rotor/Drum engineer, you will complete optimized designs for structural stress, coning, and thermal translation by use of our in-house process that couples Abacus for CATIA with modeFRONTIER. In addition, you will complete NVH model separation analysis. Lastly you will complete the casting and machine drawings and submit to the supplier for production quotes.
