Job Summary:
Krieger + Associates is a small, award-winning architectural firm specializing in residential and institutional design. We’re looking for a part-time office manager-bookkeeper who will enjoy keeping things organized in a friendly and creative work environment.
Job Duties:
- Maintain client, project, and time/expense records in project management software
- Generate customer invoices and process payments
- Communicate with customers regarding their invoices, retainers, and balances
- Run financial reports and assist in budgeting
- Pay all bills
- Process employee payroll and maintain HR records
- Maintain and reconcile bank accounts
- Coordinate with offsite IT consultants to maintain general office software and equipment
- Track and implement renewals of insurance policies, software subscriptions, employee benefits, and professional licenses
- Assist president and accountant in tax planning
- Respond to potential client inquiries
- Keep organized records on the fileserver
- Maintain office supply stocks
- Coordinate company annual party and regular staff meetings
- Additional light bookkeeping and occasional support for a small non-profit
- Potential for additional bookkeeping hours for affiliated small property management company
- Other research, problem-solving, and support as needed
Skills required:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:
-Minimum of two years' bookkeeping/accounting experience and proficiency using Quickbooks
-Familiarity with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
-Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Microsoft Office)
-Excellent organizational and time management skills
-Attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks
-Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
-Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
-Flexibility: ability to switch gears, analyze, problem-solve, and learn
