Position: Bookkeeper
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Bookkeeper. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the overall financial operations of the company.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial transactions.
- Budget Management: Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets, providing insights into financial performance.
- Invoicing and Billing: Generate and process invoices for clients and tenants, ensuring timely and accurate billing.
- Expense Management: Monitor and manage company expenses, verifying receipts, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to management, providing insights and recommendations for improving financial performance.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and relevant regulations.
- Communication: Collaborate with other departments to gather and analyze financial data, providing support for decision-making processes.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Experience: Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role. Residential property management experience is a plus.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., AppFolio, Buildium) and Google Workspace.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain financial concepts to non-finance professionals.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a casual yet strict work environment, adapting to changing priorities and deadlines.
