Job Summary
We are seeking a talented Bookkeeper/Accounting Manager to join our team in our corporate office in Lockport NY. In this role, you will work closely with the Controller/Owners to maintain accurate financial records for each entity and ensure the company’s compliance with all legal requirements. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to recording and verifying transactions, bringing the books to the trial balance stage, and completing tax forms. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and has a strong understanding of best practices in accounting.
Responsibilities
- Enter financial data and transactions daily
- Verify the accuracy of transactions that have been entered
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Payroll/HR
- Assist in preparation of Trial Balance and required tax forms
Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field preferred
- Previous experience as an accountant, bookkeeper, or similar position required
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Strong experience with spreadsheets, Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and basic accounting systems
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
