Bookkeeper

Position Function: Provides service to clients and supports Directors, Managers and Staff Accountants by providing comprehensive bookkeeping services and aiding the tax, audit and financial reporting processes as needed.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

· Writes checks, prepares, and makes bank deposits (multiple clients)

· Reconciles client bank & credit cards statements and traces discrepancies (multiple clients)

· Processes client payroll and prepares client payroll taxes (multiple clients)

· Prepares sales & use tax and gross receipts tax reports (multiple clients)

· Prepares trial balances for clients (multiple clients)

· Makes journal entries for clients (multiple clients)

· Prepares financial reports and summaries for clients (multiple clients)

· Records transactions to journals and posts to general ledger (multiple clients)

· Records fixed assets and creates depreciation schedules (multiple clients)

· Prepares other schedules, account analyses, worksheets, and completes projects as requested by professional accounting staff

· Substantiates and documents digital files (multiple clients)

· Supports clients and staff as a QuickBooks resource, including training for both clients and staff

· Adheres to all firm quality control standards

· Works overtime as needed, especially during busy season (January – April)

· Other duties as assigned

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.70 - $24.93 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
