The Bookkeeper maintains financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. The role involves working closely with our accounting team to create and analyze financial reports, ensure compliance with legal requirements, process accounts payable and receivable, and manage invoices and tax payments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
- Reconcile sales taxes, and bank statements.
- Prepare financial statements, including monthly and annual accounts.
- Arrange financial management reports, including financial planning and forecasting.
- Advise on budget management, cash flow management, and cost reduction.
- Ensure that monetary transactions are properly updated and recorded.
- Coordinate employee payroll.
- Prepare necessary paperwork for tax payments and returns.
- Share financial data with the accounting department.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings.
- Manage and maintain the company's financial accounting system.
Qualifications:
- Experience in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Proven bookkeeping experience.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices, and collection regulations.
- Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
- Data entry skills with a knack for numbers.
- Proficiency in English and MS Office.
- A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
