Sai Hospitality Management Company is looking for a full-time bookkeeper to help oversee the Company’s portfolio of 6 hotels and growing accounting function. The bookkeeper is responsible for company accounting and interacting directly with the company leadership to manage the financial status of the company and each hotel. The position will be an in person and in office role.

Desired Experience & Education:
Hotel accounting software including but not limited to InnFlow.
MS Excel, Outlook and Word knowledge
Knowledge of InnFlow is plus but not required
Must have understanding and knowledge in payroll and be able to run payroll
Must have strong organizational skills, communication skills and attention to detail
Understand basic and advanced accounting concepts including journal entries and chart of accounts
Must have an associates or bachelor degree in accounting
Familiarity of hotel accounting and operations is a plus
Must have effective listening and communication skills, initiative, ability to work independently and in teams
Must be able to receive feedback and direction from company leadership
Must show ability to multi-task, maintain composure under pressure and display high level of professionalism, integrity and follow through
Must be able to exercise good judgement and discretion and have effective problem solving skills
Ability to appropriately handle confidential and sensitive information
Responsibilities:
Manage and monitor daily sales reporting in Inn Flow
Review hotel overnight reports (“night audit”) and verify the resulting daily revenue entries in accounting software
Verify, code, and pay bills; Performs and prepares month-end inventory for Corporate Office
Communicating with hotel leadership and company leadership regarding higher-than-usual Accounts Receivables balances or longer outstanding receivables
Input accounts payable into accounting software system and run checks / pays with company credit cards and accounts for them accurately and timely
Keep track of checks and conducts and completes monthly bank reconciliation
Ensure accurate and timely payment of all property payables on a weekly basis
Maintain property accounting controls i.e. cash, petty cash, purchase orders, credit card settlements
Administers employee incentives
Plan and remit payroll taxes, sales taxes, use taxes and income taxes and create appropriate journal entries for such accurately and on a timely basis
Enter in appropriate journal entries for monthly loan payments
Reconcile monthly bank accounts, hotel accounting, hotel credit cards and all cash reconciliations
Run payroll for the hotel entities and management company and provide analysis
Enter in payroll journal entries from payroll software
Add accounts to chart of accounts and map them into financial statements correctly
Follow up with vendors when necessary for invoices, refunds etc.
Review and find cost saving opportunities
Analyze and run financial reports on a monthly basis
Have an eye for cutting costs
Work with outside CPA’s for timely tax preparation and provide accurate responses to their questions
