The Bookkeeper is responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial activities and supporting the health of the businesses. The Bookkeeper is responsible for the financial and regulatory compliance of all the companies.
Job Responsibilities and Duties
Management
1. Manage the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.
2. Manage the accounting control systems, transaction-processing operations.
3. Manage, maintain, and enforce a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
5. Manage client terms, billing, and audit transactions.
6. Manage banking relationship.
7. Management of risk and compliance.
8. Manage support team.
9. Manage outsourced functions.
Transactions
1. Ensure that accounts payable are paid, reasonable discounts taken.
2. Ensure proper billing to clients.
3. Ensure that accounts receivable is collected promptly.
6. Oversee client domestic and international ACH/WIRE transactions.
7. Oversee the audit process for client expense management.
8. Oversee the audit process for Real Estate transactions.
9. Oversee the audit process closed files.
10. Oversee Credit Card processing.
12. Ensure that periodic bank reconciliations are completed.
Reporting
1. Calculate budgets and forecasts.
2. Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management.
3. Issue timely and complete financial statements.
4. Sales tax reporting.
5. Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual report.
6. Oversee Federal and State tax preparation.
7. Provide financial analyses, for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
Compliance
1. Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit.
2.. Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
