As a Construction Industry Bookkeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with industry-specific regulations.
Responsibilities:
Financial Record Maintenance:
- Record and maintain financial transactions accurately using QuickBooks.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions.
Project Cost Tracking:
- Collaborate with project managers to track and manage construction project costs.
- Ensure accurate allocation of expenses to specific projects.
- Payroll Processing:
Process payroll in a timely and accurate manner.
- Stay informed about industry-specific payroll regulations.
- Financial Reporting:
Generate financial reports for management, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Provide insights into financial trends and variances.
- Tax Compliance.
Assist in preparing documentation for tax filings.
- Stay informed about tax regulations relevant to the construction industry.
- Communication and Collaboration:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, preferably in the construction industry.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in QuickBooks.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Familiarity with construction project management software is a plus.
Attention to Detail:
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in financial records.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Industry Knowledge:
- Understanding of construction industry accounting principles and practices.
Communication Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
