Bookkeeper Accountant

CONSTRUCTION ACCOUNTING FULL-CHARGE BOOKKEEPER

Farrior & Sons, Inc. located in Farmville, NC

Farrior & Sons is a commercial general contractor specializing in Public and Design Build Projects and are seeking a full-time bookkeeper to manage day-to-day accounting duties.

Responsibilities:

· Process, enter and pay vendor invoices by job using our Sage based software (Anzio Versyss)

· Process subcontractor’s monthly applications for payment

· AIA Billing preparation

· Generate monthly billings with approval from Project Managers with all required documentation including sales tax reports, MWBE Forms, Certified payroll, lien release waivers, etc.

· Deposit customer payments and apply to appropriate billing records.

· Perform various administrative functions; including but not limited to: answering phones, scheduling, letters, presentations, faxes, e-mails, copies, scanning, supply ordering

· Help Handle Payroll

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree (Accounting preferred)

· 5+ years successful bookkeeping experience

· Experience with construction preferred

· Strong computer skills, with experience and proficiency using various software applications

· Familiar with PDF documents, merging, converting, bookmarking, etc.

· Knowledge of operating standard office equipment

· Excellent communication skills – written and verbal

· Ability to prioritize projects and strong problem-solving skills

· Good research skills and attention to detail

Pay commensurate with experience. Drug screening and valid driver's license required for hire.
