Bookkeeper

The ideal candidate will be well organized and comfortable dealing with financial data. This individual will be responsible for handling ongoing accounting tasks in client QuickBooks Online accounts. In addition to flexibility on time of day worked, there will be opportunity for additional hours, if desired, as the company grows. We estimate a starting range of about 15-20 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Code transactions from bank feeds
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
• Input bill details and attach source documents
• Ensure timely bill payments
• Enter monthly allocation and other recurring journal entries
• Input and process payroll
• Generate invoices
• Review payroll for accuracy and timely tax filings
• Clear review notes from month end process
• Document client processes and procedures

Qualifications

• QuickBooks Online experience (certification preferred)
• Basic accounting knowledge
• Understanding of industry benchmarks in accounting best practices
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
• Writing skills for documentation of processes
• Data entry
• Confidentiality
• Attention to detail
• Communication skills

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
