Bookkeeper

The Holiday Inn Riverton has an opening for a hotel bookkeeper. This position works directly under the General Manager performing accounting and human resources duties for the hotel. The position also works closely with the corporate office. The wage range is $15.00 - 15.50/hour. Must pass a background screening.

Principal Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Purchase supplies and equipment as authorized by management

2. Monitor office supply levels and reorder as necessary

3. Reconcile the night audit reports of activity to cash and credit card deposits

4. Issue invoices and statements to accounts receivable customers

5. Ensure that receivables are collected promptly

6. Record cash receipts and make bank deposits

7. Conduct a reconciliation daily of the main cash bank and weekly for department banks

8. Maintain the petty cash checking account

9. Provide information to the corporate accountant who creates the company’s financial statements

10. Maintain an orderly accounting filing system

11. Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements

12. Process and onboard new employees

13. Maintain employee personnel files and confidentiality of those files/information

14. Order and maintain

15. Process payroll detail information in a timely manner

16. Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested

17. Make daily runs to the bank during the work week

18. Scan and transmit reports to corporate accounting office

19. Monitor delinquent account receivable account and report collection progress to corporate

20. Make collection calls on delinquent accounts receivable accounts

21. Monitor Tips for the restaurant and lounge

Qualifications/Physical requirements:

-Strong attention to detail, working carefully within minimum time

-Ability to take initiative, pay attention to detail, and listen

-Must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment with multiple interruptions

-Must be able to lift 25 to 30lbs and occasionally up to 50lbs with assistance

-Must be flexible in hours and days available to work in accordance to business need
