Bookkeeper 1

Individual must have a solid understanding of the basic principles of bookkeeping. Records daily financial transactions for the dealership. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks assigned is desired.
Records day to day financial transactions of the dealership which includes accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Reconciles accounts payable and accounts receivable, and all other accounts associated with the dealership.
Assists in monthly closings.
Prepares accounts payable checks.
Checks all vouchers and obtains appropriate payment approval.
Prints all accounts payable reports and maintains all accounts payable files.
Records and reconciles accounts receivable payments.
Reconciles statements to the ledger making sure payments are consistent with dealership schedules.
Answers all vendor inquiries.
Reconciles bank balances on a daily basis.
Performs reconciliations of bank, vendor and credit card statements.
Verifies and posts details of business transactions, such as funds received and disbursed.
Analyzes vendor accounts.
Prepares analysis of accounts as required.
Performs other duties as assigned.
