```Job Summary```
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Assistant Bookkeeper. In this role, you will support our accounting department by assisting with various financial tasks and ensuring accurate record-keeping. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of financial concepts and is proficient in technical accounting procedures. Quickbooks experience a plus.
```Responsibilities```
- Assist with accounts receivable duties, including invoicing clients and following up on outstanding payments
- Perform general ledger reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data
- Prepare journal entries and maintain proper documentation
- Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
- Support the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Assist with tax-related tasks, such as gathering necessary documents for tax filings
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records

- Strong understanding of financial concepts and principles
- Proficiency in double-entry bookkeeping
- Knowledge of technical accounting procedures
- Familiarity with payroll processes and regulations
- Experience with general ledger reconciliation
- Ability to prepare journal entries accurately
- Knowledge of GAAP guidelines
- Previous experience in public accounting is a plus
