Arootah services include:
  • Providing expert advisors in key operational areas to emerging/established Investment firms
  • Coaching direct-to-consumer (executive and career coaching)
  • Advising clients with Capital Introduction and Raising for Emerging Managers
  • Investing in a portfolio of public and private companies that make a positive impact
  • Building SaaS applications for both enterprise and consumer use
  • Providing Talent Acquisition and Development services to the financial industry

What we are looking for:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Book Editor / Project Manager to join our coaching and advisory firm. This individual will play a critical role in managing the editorial process for our series of books, ensuring high-quality content that meets our standards and vision. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, expertise in content structuring, and the ability to maintain a consistent voice and tone across publications. With a dynamic team to lead and multiple projects to oversee, this role requires strong leadership, process management skills, and proficiency in editing software. Experience working with AI-generated content is also highly valued as we strive to innovate and improve our offerings.
Key Responsibilities
  • Review and edit manuscripts with an extremely detail-oriented approach to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency, with no mistakes
  • Maintain a consistent voice and tone throughout all series of books, ensuring coherence and brand alignment
  • Demonstrate expertise in structuring content, organizing topics and subtopics efficiently without redundancy
  • Lead and manage a dynamic team comprising writers, subject matter experts, editors, proofreaders, and other relevant personnel, ensuring collaboration and high-quality outputs
  • Oversee the development of various Seminars and Masterclasses built around the book concepts
  • Oversee the integration of AI-generated content, ensuring it meets editorial standards and enhances the overall value of our publications
  • Utilize proficiency in editing software (e.g., Grammarly) to streamline the editing process and maintain high editorial standards
  • Employ strong process management skills to oversee multiple simultaneous projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality assurance.
  • Ensure all content is fact-checked and references are verified to uphold the credibility and accuracy of publications.
  • Coordinate with marketing team for the promotion and sales of the series of books.
  • Monitor and adapt to industry trends, incorporating new editing technologies and methodologies to improve workflow and product quality.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in book editing, publishing, or a related editorial role.
  • An in-depth understanding of the publishing process, from manuscript drafting to book marketing and distribution.
  • Strong process and project management skills, with the ability to manage editorial and content teams and multiple projects simultaneously to meet tight deadlines.
  • Expertise in editing software and tools, such as Grammarly, and familiarity with AI-generated content.
  • Strong knowledge of content structuring, editorial standards, and publishing workflows.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing error-free content.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide constructive feedback and foster positive working relationships with authors and team members

  • The estimated base salary for this role is $75,000 - $100,000 with additional incentives including bonus and equity.
