This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. The Screen-out Element for this position is: THE ABILITY TO DO THE WORK OF THE POSITION WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION. Your resume must show that you have the ability to perform common tasks including: 1) Starting, stopping, monitoring, adjusting, and performing operational and preventive maintenance on boilers, feed water pumps and chemical metering pumps; 2) Performing chemical analysis of boiler water, feed water, steam, and condensate to evaluate operation of water treatment equipment and chemical addition; and 3) Performing operations tests upon completion of repairs to insure that equipment and systems operate as intended.

This position entails both low and high-pressure steam boiler and hydronic systems operation which requires Fireman/Stationary Engineer Licenses based on Statute Law in the State of Rhode Island.
